In 2013, the first WWE Game to be released on iOS titled as WWE WrestleFest. The name of PS and X-Box games was changed to WWE 2k starting from 2k14. The next and ongoing major WWE games series on video games consoles is WWE 2K series. The series was available on both Playstation and Windows devices. WWE SmackDown vs RAW series was WWE’s next big games series starting from 2006. The new WWE RAW games series was introduced in 2002 exclusive to Xbox and Windows PCs. The SmackDown series started in 2000 remained exclusive to PS and PSP consoles in the coming years. The first game to be published on Playstation was WWF Attitude in the year 1999.

Acclaim Entertainment was the main publisher for WWE Games in starting years. The WrestleMania series also got a new platform in Sega consoles from 1992. WWF Superstars was introduced for Archade and was later extended to Gameboy consoles also.

WWF Wrestlemania Games series was started on Nes Consoles. The first WWE video game was published back in 1987, named Microleague Wrestling which was available on archaic consoles like Atari, Amiga, Commodore 64, and MS-DOS PCs.
